Changes to Google Drive regards to automatic deletion

Starting October 13, 2020, Google Drive is making a change so that its trash behaves more consistently with the rest of our G Suite services with regards to automatic deletion. This means that any file that is put into Google Drive’s ‘My Drive’ trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Any files already in a user’s trash will remain there for 30 days.

VPN Maintenance 11/1/20 Sunday night 11pm – Monday 1am 11/01/2020
On Sunday night November 1 at 11pm through Monday morning at 1am, IST Core Systems and Telecommunications will be performing maintenance on the campus VPN server in order to install security upgrades.

During this maintenance window, VPN access may be intermittent with brief outages, and one outage lasting up to 20 minutes.

Currently there are intermittent issues with receiving outside telephone calls. We have just been made aware of the issue and do not have an ETA for a fix yet. We will update here with more information.
Scheduled Outage Enterprise IT Service – Saturday, October 3rd – Sunday, October 4th 2020 10/02/2020
IST will be applying operational and security updates to several systems from 9 pm Saturday, October 3rd, to 11 am Sunday, October 4th, 2020. During this critical activity, many enterprise IT services (e.g. Banner, DegreeWorks, TouchNet, Infosilem) will be unavailable.

Webmail and Canvas will be available throughout most of this maintenance window, however, you may experience intermittent interruptions. Academic research services (e.g. HPC, Big Data), network access and telephone service will not be affected.
